How to Play
Craps

A.  BETTING THE PASS LINE

(With the dice): When the puck is off, the shooter is coming out. If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, the pass line wins. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12,the pass line loses. If any other number is rolled (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) then that becomes the point and the puck is on. To win the pass line, the shooter needs to throw that number again before a 7.

B.  BETTING THE DON’T PASS

(Against the Dice): The don’t pass is the opposite of the pas line. On the come out roll, 7 and 11 lose, 2 and 3 win, and 12 is a push. If any other number rolls, then that becomes the point and the puck is on. To win the don’t pass, the shooter needs to throw a 7 before the point.

C.  COME BETS

Come Bets are similar to pass line bets except they are made

once the point has been established (puck is on). If a 7 or 11

rolls, the come bet wins. 2, 3, or 12 rolls, the come bet loses.

Any other number rolls, the come bet moves to that number. To win the come bet, the shooter must throw that number again before a 7.

D.  DON’T COME BETS

Don’t Come Bets are the opposite of Come Bets. 7 and 11

lose, 2 and 3 win, and 12 is a push. If any other number rolls, the bet moves behind that number. To win that bet, a 7 must roll before that number again.

E..PROPOSITION BET

One roll bets that win or lose on the next roll of the dice. The 2 and 12 pay 30 for 1, the 3 and 11 pay 15 for 1. Any craps

(2, 3, or 12) pays 8 for 1, and any 7 pays 5 for 1.

F..HARDWAYS

You are betting on pairs. Hard 8 (a four and a four) and Hard 6 (a three and a three) pay 10 for 1. Hard 10 (a five and a five) and Hard 4 (a two and a two) pay 8 for 1. The bet loses on a 7 or any combination of the number that you are betting on.

G..BETTING THE ODDS

You may take odds or lay odds in addition to your original pass line, don’t pass, come or don’t come bet. The payout is based on the true probability of the dice. The 4 and 10 pay 2 to 1, 5 and 9 pay 3 to 2, and 6 and 8 pay 6 to 5.

H..PLACE BETS

Place bets may be made on the 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10. Instruct the dealer which number or numbers you would like placed. If the number rolls before a 7, you win. Place bet odds on the 4 and 10 are 9 to 5. The 5 and 9 pay 7 to 5. The 6 and 8 pay 7 to 6.

I..BUY AND LAY BETS

You may buy the true odds of the dice on the 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10. A buy bet wins if the number rolls before a 7. A lay bet wins if the 7 rolls before the number. 5% is charged on a buy bet, and on the amount that could be won on a lay bet.

J..FIELD BET

The field bet is one-roll bet that may be made at any time. If a 3, 4, 9, 10, ro 11 rolls, you win even money. The 2 pays 2 to 1 and the 12 pays 3 to 1. If any other number rolls, the bet loses.
